Roche SA Leadership Team

Thom Renwick was appointed General Manager of Roche South Africa and the Sub-Region in June 2025. He began his Roche journey in 2012 on the company’s Graduate Program in the United Kingdom, following his studies at King’s College London, Cranfield School of Management, and the University of Oxford.

Throughout his career at Roche, Thom has held leadership roles across multiple geographies, including Basel, Switzerland, where he worked in Global Product Strategy; Head of Ophthalmology in the UK; and Chief of Staff for Pharma International, supporting more than 100 affiliates from the global headquarters.

He has been widely recognised within the industry, winning the PharmaTimes New Marketer of the Year Award in 2015 and later being featured in the publication’s “Smart People” series in 2021, while also actively contributing to the Ophthalmology community in the UK.

Nondumiso Mhlongo is a seasoned Human Resources Professional with over 15 years of experience across the pharmaceutical, FMCG/Retail, and banking sectors. She holds an Honours Degree in Human Resources and a BA Degree in Applied Psychology.

​Since March 2025, Nondumiso has served as the People & Culture Business Partner at Roche Products South Africa, driving alignment between people strategy and business priorities to enable performance and sustainable growth. She has previously held key roles within leading global organisations, including Viatris and Nestlé, where she contributed to the delivery of impactful, business-focused people solutions.

​Nondumiso serves as an executive director of Roche Products (Pty Ltd).

Oscar Manuga is an admitted attorney with over 19 years of post-qualification experience. Oscar holds an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria and has built a versatile career across the FMCG, Insurance, and Financial Services sectors. Oscar spent eight years as Cipla's Head of Legal, where he played a pivotal role in the organisation’s leadership. In this capacity, he oversaw Legal, Compliance, and Risk, served on several key committees, and acted as a Trustee for a non-profit foundation.

On 1 March 2026, he returned to Roche, bringing a wealth of executive experience and a proven track record in both corporate governance and social responsibility. He is well-regarded for his ability to balance complex regulatory requirements with high-level commercial strategy.

Oscar serves as the company secretary of Roche Products (Pty Ltd).
